In GymYou you can easily set a timer for the rest between your sets and even track your rests duration.
Rest Timer #
- Select the exercise you want to set a timer for and tap ‘Edit Exercise’ or the pencil icon.
- Scroll down to the ‘Rest’ section.
- Enable ‘Rest Timer’
- In the line below you can set the duration of the timer.
Whenever you workout on that exercise now, you will see the timer after you log a set.
A tone is played three seconds before the timer ends. If you want to skip the timer just tap on ‘Skip’.
If you exceed the duration of the timer, the timer counts the exceeded seconds so you know how much longer your rest was.
Rest tracking #
- Select the exercise you want to set a timer for and tap ‘Edit Exercise’ or the pencil icon.
- Scroll down to the ‘Rest’ section.
- Enable ‘Rest Tracking’
After you log a set a stopwatch is showing you the elapsed time of your rest.
By tapping “Resume”, the displayed time is logged and displayed as a rest in your sets.
You can combine the rest timer and rest tracking or just use one of the two.
